Shamita Shetty, best known for her debut Yas Raj Films’ Mohabbatein opposite Uday Chopra, celebrated her 39^th birthday party at a suburban eatery with her sister Shilpa Shetty and other industry party regulars. Shamita, who lost her dad a year ago, did not attend any party as the family was grieving for him. This year, she planned to have an intimate lunch with her friends and sister Shilpa.

Dressed in a stunning red peplum dress, Shamita looked like she has defied age with her charming smile and radiating skin. Shipa looked ravishing as usual in a grey chic dress. Shamita’s friend list included Sooraj Pancholi (who has been fighting charges pressed by his deceased girlfriend Jiah Khan’s mother Rabiya Khan.), Chunky Pandey’s son Ahan, Ileana D'Cruz, Dino Morea, Arjan Bajwa, Gautam Gulati, among others. She revealed that her big sis Shilpa has always been trying to give her surprise on her birthday has failed consistently as she is terrible at it.

Shamita also plans to visit an old age home on the occasion of her birthday. It has been ritual for her since forever, she revealed in an interview. Aside from this, she started her day by visiting a temple in the morning.

On work front, Shamita is taking time to decide on the films she wants to do. She has been exploring the web space too. In an interview with a daily she said that the reason she took up work on web was because she wanted to do something different. She also revealed that she mules a lot over her projects because she does not want to end up doing similar things.
